How to Clean White Shoes

If your sandals have a canvas upper, be sure to clean them often and in a way that is safe for the materials. One way to do this is by hand-washing the shoes with a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. You’ll first want to remove all the loose dirt you can before applying the mixture.

Next, mix three tablespoons of baking soda with one tablespoon of white vinegar until a paste forms. Dip a brush into the vinegar/baking soda paste and cover the shoes with it. Gently rub areas where tricky dirt and stains exist. Then, let the shoes sit, allowing the paste to harden on them. After the paste dries, brush off as much of it as you can, wiping off the excess with a rag or paper towel.
